Taylor Planning is a collaborative team of highly skilled and experienced planning professionals. We are without the encumbrances of large firm responsibilities and pressures which allows us to focus solely on delivering for our clients.     DIRECTOR

    Louise has built her resource management practice in New Zealand over 30 years, working for a mix of local and central Government, private business, not-for-profit and infrastructure clients. Louise is fortunate to have worked on some of New Zealand's most challenging and complex resource management projects, for the big players in the field. Louise loves nothing more than getting stuck into a complex planning challenge, working with clients to define the problem to be solved, develop a project plan and holding all team members to account whilst enjoying the process together along the way. Her skills extend to Resource Management Reform implementation, Spatial Plan and District Plan development, resource consent and designation applications (including Fast Track), and Hearing Commissioner (Chair Endorsed).

    Louise is highly regarded for her confident, compassionate style, personal integrity, and sharp innovative thinking. She has the courage to provide the tough advice when needed and builds positive, enduring relationships.

    After more than two decades, Louise was keen to take charge of her own entity, with a change in focus. She started Taylor Planning in 2021 in order to work with genuine, value-aligned clients, to understand their challenges and to work as part of their teams to help solve their resource management challenges.

    With 26 years of planning consultancy experience, Meg brings a wealth of knowledge to Taylor Planning. Her experience is varied, spanning consenting and designating large scale infrastructure projects, commercial building developments, plan changes, plan review processes and acting as an Independent Hearings Commissioner. Regardless of the project scale, Meg tailors her approach to achieve the best outcomes for her clients, and the environment.

    Her highly practical nature means she strives to solve planning problems with sensible and workable solutions. Meg loves getting involved with projects that require thinking outside the box, and those that require strategic approaches to achieving the ambitions of her clients. Meg’s clients enjoy her calm, collaborative style and value her strong relationships across the resource management sector.

    Lisa takes an outcomes focussed and values driven approach to planning practice. Her expertise includes strategy and policy development, practice and process improvement, stakeholder engagement and relationship management, complex resource consenting, and expert planning evidence. She is known for her collaborative and transparent approach to working with clients and stakeholders, and is agile in navigating complex and rapidly changing regulation to find practical and enduring solutions. Lisa’s clients value her attention to detail, foresight, and proactive approach to managing risk. Lisa enjoys identifying value add opportunities in planning projects, to achieve better outcomes for her clients and the environment.

    Emma is a skilled planner with over 17 years of experience in both local government and planning consultancy environments. She has a proven track record working on complex projects including plan reviews, comprehensive resource consents, designations, providing expert evidence for Environment Court appeals, and has significant experience in public engagement. Emma is committed to delivering positive environmental outcomes, and consistently offers sound advice, tailored to meet the unique needs of her clients.

    Known for her practical problem-solving skills and excellent writing abilities, Emma thrives on tackling complex planning challenges. Emma delivers her work with a high level of care and attention to detail, while fostering strong relationships with clients as they navigate their planning projects.
